Zines & DIY

We're lucky to have a Zine Library in the area, and they're having a Zine Show & Tell on March 1st, 7-8:30pm.

Also, for more DIY publishing, check out the exhibit for DIY: Design It Yourself over at MICA. Reception and book party is on March 2nd, 6-8pm.

So you should all come visit and see all the new zines and comix we are putting out this Wednesday for your checkin' out pleasure. You don't have to live in the county to get a card and it's fine to return them in other Maryland counties. Yeah, we realize this conflicts for some of you with goin to the Ottobar for the benefit for Maggie. No problem! Just come see me earlier, anytime after 5. Seriously, the Zine Collection rocks and you wanna see it!

here's our official info:

The Baltimore County Public Library Zine Collection is having a
Zines Show and Tell Night
Wednesday March 1st
7:00 pm-8:30 pm.
We have over one hundred new items and will be putting more on the shelves that evening. If you haven't yet visited, this is a great time to get recommendations from a librarian and other readers and check out some zines. You can also get advice on starting a project of your own, show off zines or comics that you've created, or just have some cookies and browse.

BCPL Zine Collection, located in the Cockeysville Library, is an exciting selection of self-published writing and mini-comics, including work by local zinesters. Zines can be returned at your local library and you do not have to be a Baltimore County resident to get a library card.
