Hampden Cab Stand

For visitors' convenience, we now have a brand new cab stand in Hampden.

It's located on the northeast corner of Roland Ave. at the intersection of Roland and W. 36th St. by the Royal Farm Store.

So if you need a cab in Hampden, which in the past hasn't been the easiest thing to get, you now have a starting point to find one.

It's just been installed and taxi companies are just now being informed of it so that they can check frequently to see if anyone needs a ride.

Can't wait to see the interaction between the folks waiting for a cab and the usuals outside the Farm Store and at that bus stop

Our theme this year is Outer Limits (as in "the outer limits of human belief"). It's like an X-files year! Or an In Search Of year. Baltimore has had a long, rich history of record shops.   40 years ago, the city region had over 15 stores selling records. Here's how they were described in a city guide called Bawlamer: An Informal Guide To A Livelier Baltimore from 1974, published by the Citizens Planning and Housing Association.
